Joe Boone makes photographs out of a personal need. Capturing a moment in time allows him the leisure to study and reflect on the ephemeral nature of our physical world, a world that moves way too fast for him. Becoming a fine art photographer has been, and still is, a process of believing that his photographs move others in some way, either by taking them momentarily to another place, or by tapping into some inner emotion or memory.
All of Joe’s photographs have been rendered and printed by the artist, using large format Epson printers and HDR Ultra Chrome inks. He works with color and black and white, printed on cotton rag matte media.
